Content on this site is general information. It is not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice for your specific situation. Reading the site, calling us, or booking a free call does not create a client relationship.
Client engagements
A client relationship begins only when you and Books & File sign an engagement agreement. Your engagement agreement sets out the scope of work, fees, responsibilities, and timelines. If anything on this site differs from your signed engagement agreement, the engagement agreement controls.
Services and pricing
Services, transaction limits, and prices shown on the site may change and are subject to your engagement agreement. Example scenarios and sample reports on the site are illustrative only and are not guarantees of specific results.
30-day guarantee
Our "books current within 30 days" guarantee applies only to catch-up bookkeeping engagements as defined in your engagement agreement. It depends on you providing timely access to your records, bank and card accounts, and answers to our questions.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for giving us complete, accurate, and timely information. Tax returns are prepared based on the information you provide, and you are responsible for reviewing and approving your return before it is filed.
Sending us information
Please do not send Social Security numbers, tax documents, or other sensitive information through website forms, text messages, or regular email. We will send you a secure upload link for documents. See our Security page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site, including by attempting to gain unauthorized access, interfering with its operation, or submitting false or harmful content.
Third-party services and links
The site links to or uses third-party services, such as Calendly for booking. We are not responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Intellectual property
The site's content, design, and branding belong to Books & File and may not be copied or reused without our permission.
